Ensure you have some ETH for gas fees

A very small amount of ETH is used as gas fee to perform a transaction. Normally, it is around 0.0005 ETH, but may vary depending on the transaction complexity and network transaction load.

How to stake MATIC

Connect your wallet

  1. Visit Ankr Staking and click Stake in the product menu.

  2. Locate the Polygon (MATIC) box and click Stake in it.

  3. You are prompted to grant Ankr Staking access to your wallet. Click Grant Access to proceed.

  4. Select the Polygon supported wallet you wish to connect to, e.g., MetaMask.

  5. If you are on a different network, you may be prompted to switch to the Ethereum network. Click the correct network on the page, then allow MetaMask to switch to it.

  6. Successful connection to Ankr Staking is indicated at top right corner.

You will need to make the following interactions in your wallet:

πŸ‘ Approve to add a new network.

πŸ‘ Switch network to switch to the correсt network.

Stake your MATIC

  1. Visit Ankr Staking and click Stake in the product menu.

  2. Locate the Polygon (MATIC) box and click Stake in it.

  3. Enter the desired amount of MATIC to stake, choose the token, and click Get aMATICb or Get aMATICc respectively.

  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

  5. Add the liquid staking token to your wallet, clicking Add aMATICb to wallet or Add aMATICc to wallet respectively.

  6. Click Go to dashboard to see the added liquid staking token. You may need to wait a little for the transaction to finalize and Dashboard to automatically update.

As mentioned before, a gas fee is incurred to finalize the staking transaction.

You will need to make the following interactions in your wallet:

Your aMATICb balance automatically increases by a small amount, daily, to reflect your Polygon Staking rewards. Your aMATICc balance stays the same, but the fair value of aMATICc to MATIC grows daily.

You can now use your aMATICb to earn additional layers of rewards on other DeFi platforms listed in DeFi under the aMATICb section. aMATICc support is coming soon.

If you don't see your liquid staking token balance

If you don't see the balance in your wallet, do the following:

  1. Visit Ankr Staking Dashboard
  2. Find your liquid staking token, click the three-dot menu, and click Copy token address.
  3. Insert the token address directly into your wallet (e.g. MetaMask).
